Porcelain fungi

Porcelain fungi

Oudemansiella mucida. Found on a beech tree - and unusually low down for this unmistakable fungi. It has a slimy ivory white cap, and in this picture you can clearly see slime globules hanging from the gills. I was able to use my flash off-camera to provide backlight, and the black & white treatment helps to reveal how this one got its name.
