Back to the beach

I was after some wow shapes and shadows in the dunes this morning. I crossed the golf course at just gone six - reassuring that there were no fanatics getting a round in at the very earliest opportunity.

Striding out onto the beach with my camera rucksac, filter bag and tripod, I was greeted by a tree - in the sand - just in front of me. The first rays of sun were just about to poke over the dunes to light it up. What a good start.

Not much in the way of dune shots unfortunately, so I'll have to try again another day (what a shame). I ended up back at the tree- so apologies for the repitition but you can seen how the morning light unfolded in this series.

The strand line beckons me back too. Sadly it was more of a rubbish tip than a collection of sinuos waveworn driftwood. I have spared you a view of it this time (it was behind me when i took this picture). I might try a little sculpture next time...if I remember some heavy duty gloves.

The golf-course had transformed by the time I walked back to car - rush hour had begun. I'm going to get myself one of those buggies.

The rest of today's pictures are new in the Rural Landscapes gallery.
